Flows Workshop December 12-14, 2011
Caddo Lake Institute hosted a multi-day workshop for scientists and stakeholders on December 12-14, 2011 at the Jeffersonian Institute in Jefferson, Texas. Participants reviewed the work to date and made any appropriate adjustments to the current recommendations for environmental flow regimes and the state reservation of water. In addition, the workshop focused on adaptive management and provided the opportunity for the participants to determine the full set of indicators of success that will guide that longer term management.
At the 2008 workshop, the scientists and stakeholders requested that the next workshop be held in the fall of 2011. The timing provided the benefits of having additional field work, the development of the 2011 regional water plan, and the work on water quality projection under the Watershed Protection Planning Process.
